Have you ever heard anyone talk about a personal mission statement? People that i have talked to have given me several different responses to that question. Most people seem to think that a personal mission statement as a "catchy phrase" that just "looks or sounds good" but i beg to differ. My personal experience has shown me that they can be a powerful tool in life. I created my mission statement a few years ago at a personal growth seminar called Klemmer. As we did the exercise, my personal mission statement just rolled off my tongue, i didn't really even have to think about it-it was awesome. Here it is
"My mission in life is to help others and have them realize their potential is limitless"
It makes me tick and i wake up at night with my mind racing on how i can be a light onto this world and how can i help others improve their health and get them to their God given potential while dealing with all the difficult challenges this world has for us. One of my favorite quotes by Chuck Swindoll is "We are all faced with a series of great opportunities brilliantly disguised as impossible situations."
So my challenge to you is, if you do not have a personal mission statement do you feel that if you had one it would benefit you? Finally, what impossible situations are knocking at your doorstep that could have the potential to change you life, if and only if you saw them as brilliantly disguised opportunities? Take care my friends!!!!
