There has been a lot of talk about aspartame and other sweetners over the last few years. Lets look at the absolute basics of them all. They are created in a lab by humans so the body doesn't recognize them and you absorb no calories from them, isn't that a red flag right there???? High fructose corn syrup is the same thing, its man made in a lab, atleast sugar is natural and come from nature. Check out this short article and consume carefully.

Sugar-yeah its that bad for you
Sugar is the root of all evil, it really is. There are too many negative side effects to list with it, so lets take a look at soda for a minute. 1 can, most people drink 20 oz bottles now a days anyways, has 10 teaspoons of sugar in it. All that sugar is a shock to your body so your body converts it quickly to fat. check out this quick summary of what happens when you have a soda.

Personal Mision Statement-is it really that important and do you have one?
Have you ever heard anyone talk about a personal mission statement? People that i have talked to have given me several different responses to that question. Most people seem to think that a personal mission statement as a "catchy phrase" that just "looks or sounds good" but i beg to differ. My personal experience has shown me that they can be a powerful tool in life. I created my mission statement a few years ago at a personal growth seminar called Klemmer. As we did the exercise, my personal mission statement just rolled off my tongue, i didn't really even have to think about it-it was awesome. Here it is
"My mission in life is to help others and have them realize their potential is limitless"
It makes me tick and i wake up at night with my mind racing on how i can be a light onto this world and how can i help others improve their health and get them to their God given potential while dealing with all the difficult challenges this world has for us. One of my favorite quotes by Chuck Swindoll is "We are all faced with a series of great opportunities brilliantly disguised as impossible situations."
So my challenge to you is, if you do not have a personal mission statement do you feel that if you had one it would benefit you? Finally, what impossible situations are knocking at your doorstep that could have the potential to change you life, if and only if you saw them as brilliantly disguised opportunities? Take care my friends!!!!

Your drinking water is not safe, PLEASE READ!!!!
Im sure we have all heard the phrase "a little adds up over time." Well, here is a great example that can have a major impact on your long term health. Medications are one of the most toxic substances you can put in your body. What happens if you take a full bottle of pill at one time? Yep, an overdose. What happens if you take them 1 per day for month or even years? That’s a great question EVERYONE taking medication must ask themselves, these medications increase the toxicity in your body EVERY SINGLE day.
Check out this great link on how prescription drugs are getting into your drinking water, and how the pharmaceuticals companies are RESISTING the proper way to dispose of these medications. CANCER DRUGS HAVE BEEN FOUND IN TAP WATER. I just recently added a reverse osmosis filter and carbon filter at my house to protect me from these types of dangers, i highly recommend you look into one. (if you live in the Eau Claire, WI area i can connect you up with a great local company). If you are not currently a member of Dr. Mercola’s weekly newsletter I would highly suggest you sign up today, i have learned a ton of great and shocking information over the last 3-4 years from him. http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2010/02/27/even-drugs-thrown-in-the-trash-can-end-up-in-your-drinking-water.aspx
(Im stepping up on a soap box for 2 minutes) I personally have been taking a medication (im only 26 years old) for almost 4 years for a sleeping disorder. It has cost me over $4500 over the last 4 years and it will cost me an extra $1400 over the next 2 years on my insurance because my premium was raised because I have this “disorder”. I have never felt comfortable taking this medication or with my doctor because he always tells me "this is your best option so keep taking this medication." The last time i talked to him about any supplements or more natural options he replied in less than 1 second "no, this is your best option." That made me very uneasy and even upset with his response, i would have liked to hear something like this "I have not done a lot of research recently on any other more natural options, but if its important to you go ahead and do some research yourself." To me this would have shown he acknowledged my question, but his response make him sound like a drug pusher who wants to keep pharmaceuticals companies happy.
I have recently met a chiropractor named Dr. Kaminski who has helped change my views on what it means to be truly healthy. I have done plenty of reading on our health care system before learning more from Dr. Drew, and to put it bluntly our system is very poor. It focuses on helping you after you get sick, and NOT helping you be truly healthy from the start. The definition of health is "the bodies cells functioning/recovering at 100%”, that only can occur if we "get out of the bodies way and let it health itself.” The medications i am on is my ‘only option” if i ask my doctor, so his plan for me to take it for the rest of my life (that isnt GOING TO HAPPEN, it will cost me $1000 more and what about my health?). Changing my nutrition intake, chiropractic adjustments, and finding an optimal balance of minerals will get me off my medications by the summer, I AM SO EXCITED FOR THAT. So i will leave you with one important question (it may seem harsh but its your health we are talking about, you only have ONE BODY) to pray or meditate on...
"Are you comfortable taking medication for the rest of your life, which can jeopardize your health while greedy people are making millions of dollars every single day off of you and everyone else?"
I'm not ok with that at all, that’s why i am making changes NOW!!!!

Warning SHOCKING MATERIAL, saturated fats aren't all that bad
The more i dig into nutrition and health I learn more and more how much this verse is true (Matthew 6:24 No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money) Our society is full of money hunting selfish people. Several "health professionals" and even our own darn government-its all about the money. check out this really good article on saturated fats, not even close to the same message we have been told for years, that being saturated fats are "bad fats" that cause heart disease.

Our government is NOT looking out for our best interest
Check out this website, the government is encouraging farmers to spread mercury, arsenic, lead and other heavy metals onto their fields. The Environmental Protection Agency says those toxic metals occur in only tiny amounts but that will add up over time. Sometimes i dont know if we have very many good quality food choices available to us.

Are multi-vitamins necessary anyways?
Is you food intake pristine? Mine isn't i like "junk food" as a free-bee every once in a while. plus our food qaulity as decreased dramatically over the last 50-100 years! What's crazy is through animal tests the top birth defects in humans have been eliminated from animals through proper nutrition and supplementation. So why don't we do the same? check out this article
